Spring Gift Prize Winner - Congratulations to Gail Stewart of Kiwi Treasures


 

Gail Stewart and partner Ron Brown own the business called Kiwi Treasures & Information Centre which they purchased approximately 15 years ago.  Having brought the business through receivers Gail confesses it was hard work for the first couple of years getting the business up and going again but with perseverance and little time off, it was achieved. These days Gail admits it is a more relaxed lifestyle, in most part due to having 3 wonderful staff members. The business, a souvenir shop, sells a large range of New Zealand and overseas products, incorporating a N.Z. Post agency which offers all postal requirements both within New Zealand and overseas.  It is also the Information Centre in Lake Tekapo so as you can imagine they see a large number of both overseas and New Zealand tourists. From day one they aimed to achieve a successful business, the business model includes good pricing and friendly helpful staff amongst the main ingredients they now feel that after 15 years in business and still going strong, they must be doing something right

Gail has been going to the N.Z. Gift Fairs for a number of years and always come away having put in a number of orders.  Because of our location in the South Island there a number of companies that we don’t see during the year so it is always good to catch up with them and we always manage to find new suppliers as well, very worthwhile for us.
